Your new bike will be more reliable, enjoyable and longer lasting if it is well maintained. The three things to take care of are:
CLEANING
LUBRICATION
OVERHAUL
First cleaning. It is vital to keep your bike clean, paying extra attention to the transmission, rims and tyres. We supply products to degrease the chain and remove grime from the paintwork. DO NOT aim a jet of water at any part of the bike containing bearings, ie hubs, pedals, bottom bracket (crank bearings) and headset.
We recommend the following schedules for repair:
Hybrids, road bikes and tourers:
Six monthly check + annual overhaul
Lightly used mountain bikes:
Six monthly check + annual overhaul
Heavily used mountain bikes:
Three monthly check and six monthly overhaul:

As of November 2011, all prices include VAT at 20%
Bicycles should be clean and in a fit state to work on when brought in, if necessary a surcharge of £12.00 will be added to clean and degrease before work commences.
Tune Up - £24.00
Just pulled your bike out of the shed? Gears and brakes need adjusting? We’ll check your bike is all set up correctly. This does not include any parts that need fitting.
Also great if you have a big event coming up!
Standard Service - £48.00
Standard Service includes the following:
- Wash and degrease (no surcharge)
- Adjust brakes and gears
- Adjust headset, BB, hubs (if necessary)
- Check tensions and true wheels
- Lube transmission and cables
- Check and inflate tyres
- Inspection for roadworthiness, full road test
This service does not include the fitting of any parts, which will be charged extra accordingly.

- Lights or computer fitting - £6.00
- Rack or mudguard fitting - £12.00
- Finish kit fitting (eg. Bars, stem, saddle, post, grips, tape) - £5.00
- Facing – BB/Headset/Disc mounts - £24.00 per item
Any multiple jobs or services not listed will be priced upon evaluation.
